Thank you to our spelling teams!

The Spelling was a huge success.  We had 10 superb teams who really prepared for the event.  Congratulations to all of our teams.  Just for the fun of it here is the order of our teams as they were eliminated and the word they misspelled.

GM Bedford – took home the I’ve Been Stung Award and misspelled cataclysm in Round 2

IU Foundation – misspelled ochlesis in Round 5, after being saved by a generous donor in Round 4.

Solution Tree – misspelled farrago in Round 5

Coffman Proactive CPA Services – misspelled lamella in Round 5

Cook Medical – misspelled roundelay in Round 5

Ivy Tech – misspelled ecu in Round 6

Baxter – misspelled bibelot in Round 6 after being saved by a generous donor in Round 5

Cassady Electric – misspelled kugel in Round 6 after being saved by a generous donor in Round 5

WTIU – misspelled gonycampsis in the Final Round

IU – Bloomington was the spelling champion after correctly spelling gonycampsis.

Again congratulations to all of our teams and a special thanks to John Whikehart and Jeffery Allen of Ivy Tech for bringing the force to the event as our emcee and pronouncer.  Also thanks to our judges Mayor Mark Kruzan, Dr. Jill Bolte Taylor, Judge Valeri Haughton and Superindendent Dr. Judith DeMuth.
