“With This Little Piggy…” Auction

The Foundation of Monroe County Community Schools (FMCCS)  is hosting an online auction from May 22 to June 13. As the culmination of the “With this Little Piggy…” fundraiser, FMCCS is auctioning off the creative hand-painted piggy banks. Although the auction is officially closed we do still a few piggy banks available.  If you would like to purchase a piggy bank please contact our office at FMCCS@mccsc.edu

In September, FMCCS began a school-year fundraiser. Local artist Payson McNett designed and created a set of piggy banks, which were then painted by FMCCS board members and volunteers. These piggy banks were placed in businesses around Bloomington, and have raised nearly $1,500 to “change” education.  Bid on a piggy bank as we celebrate our past and look to our future. Starting on May 22, 2013, we are auctioning off these piggy banks as we gear up for our Celebration of Forty Years on June 14. The Difference Starts With You!  Check out the auction at www.biddingforgood.com/fmccs

FMCCS would like to extend special thanks to the businesses that served as homes for the piggy banks throughout the school year: The American Legion, Bakehouse – Scholars Inn, Bloomington Car Wash, BuffaLouie’s, Bunger & Robertson – Attorneys at law, Grazie!, John Bethell Title Company, Laughing Planet, Nick’s English Hut, Short Stop Food Mart, Smith’s Shoe Center, SOMA Coffeehouse, Spaah!, and Uptown Café.  One piggy bank will remain in the community. FMCCS would like to extend a special thank you to the owners, employees, and patrons of Wee Willie’s for their continued support.  Penelope the pig is “changing” education!
