Congratulations to our 2014-2015 Grant Winners!

The Foundation will hold its annual Grant Reception on March 11 from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m. at the Showers Building. The event will begin with hor d’oeuvres and a showcase for a selection of previous grant winners to display their enriching projects. Solution Tree CEO Jeff Jones will deliver the keynote address. The Foundation will then present awards to the 2014-2015 grant winners. The following grants will be awarded:

Elementary Library Grants:

  •  Reading Madness…A Reader’s Path to the Final Four: Highland Park Elementary School
  •  Read to Someone: Lakeview Elementary School
  •  Treasured Classics: Arlington Heights Elementary School
  •  Updating Nonfiction: Marlin Elementary School
  •  Genre Series: Grandview Elementary School

Multi-Classroom, School & System Grants

  • Social Skills Picture Books: Childs Elementary School & Lakeview Elementary School
  •  Bullying Prevention and Education: Lakeview Elementary Elementary School
  •  Preschool Math Matters! Clear Creek Elementary School, Highland Park Elementary School, Templeton Elementary School & University Elementary School

  •  Building Healthy Relationships for Teens, Teen Dating, and Interpersonal Violence Prevention: ASE, Batchelor, BGS, BHSN, BHSS, Jackson Creek & Tri-North

Classroom & Small Project Mini Grants

  •  Event Recycling Initiative: Bloomington High School South
  •  READ 180 – Reading Counts: Bloomington High School North

The Foundation will also honor grants that were awarded from external organizations and foundations this school year. Thank you to these organizations for funding $65,135 and inspiring learning for our students:
