Keith Klein was born in Gary Indiana in 1941 but he made his home in Bloomington.  Keith’s passion for broadcasting, journalism, and communications established his career and life in Bloomington.  After spending 5 years as a street reporter at NBC News Chicago he returned to his alma mater and began working at IU with Radio and TV. Keith served as program director for WTIU and most remember seeing him on numerous WTIU fund drives and programs such as ‘Editor’s Desk,’ the Monroe County Fair shows and other programming. Jakob Mumper was born in Trenton, NJ on July 23, 2002.  He attended Bloomington High School North where he was an award-winning swimmer, an honor student, a member of the National Art Honor Society, and a Cougar Den Leader.  He was also the president of Bring Change to Mind, an organization that gives students a platform to share their voices and raise awareness of mental health.

Dave Tanner Memorial Scholarship Fund
For over two decades, David Tanner served as the swim coach for Bloomington High School North, developing a program displaying characteristics in line with his personal beliefs. With Dave at the helm at North, winning really wasn’t everything. To him, it was only ever a minor measure of success. David celebrated each and every athlete’s progress regardless of the competitive outcomes of the races. He strove to build a “program legacy” whereby participation was the most important element.
