Food Assistance Needs

Food Assistance continues to be a big need for MCCSC students.

During the 2021 -2022 school year school lunches are supported through the Federal Government stimulus programs but nutritional needs still exist for our kids.

Currently 2000+ students have significant learning gaps resulting from the pandemic.  Student Learning Recovery is a top priority and this programming started with summer school.  Learning recovery programs may extend the school day for these students.  While ESSER funding covers the cost of instruction it does not provide any support for a healthy snack.

Food Assistance funds this school year will be used to assist with these healthy snacks to ensure our students are fueled for extra learning.

Thank you for your continued support to this program.  Last year we raised $19,000 toward this need!  Let’s keep up the great impact for our kids!
